Clock
Basalt
Brass instrumentation housing a dot-matrix readout.
A ground-up recreation of the AOSP Clock with a Steam Age × Early Computing face: silver, copper and bronze chrome around a phosphor-style dot matrix. Every button, switch and letterform is drawn from scratch, with no Material Design anywhere.

Live readout on the 5×7 matrix
Repeat days and per-alarm sound
Counts past zero, add a minute
Brass gauge sweeping the minute
The night as an arc on a 24-hour dial
Pick the section that plays
What makes it different.
Choose the part of the song that wakes you
Pick any tone, ringtone, MP3 or WAV, then set a start and an end. That exact section loops in the morning, and the preview uses the same code that rings the alarm.
The icon tells the time
The launcher icon is a working clock. Its hour and minute hands are separate layers that Launcher3-based launchers turn as the time changes.
Seven themes, two lettering styles
Basalt, BREM, Copper, Latte, Mocha, Quartz and Solar, each contrast-checked by a test. Choose Retro 5×7 dot-matrix lettering or Vintage EB Garamond.
Alarms that actually ring
Alarms survive a reboot, ring over the lockscreen, snooze and dismiss. If a sound file goes missing, the alarm falls back to the default tone rather than to silence.
Seven palettes.
Theme tokens name roles, not hues, so the drawing code never assumes a colour is dark.

Copper — the default
Basalt — grey stone, arc lamp
BREM — Blood Red Eldritch Machinery
Latte — paper and ink
Mocha — indigo and pastel
Quartz — milky stone in daylight
Solar — Nordic slate, soft yellow
